Bakirkoy Mosque and Leprosy Pavilion

Within the Bakirkoy Mental Hospital Istanbul, a Mosque and a Leprosy Pavilion was built. The Mosque accommodates 250 people at a time.

Zeytinburnu District Clinic

The Clinic which is located in Zeytinburnu-Istanbul was built in 1985 and was furnished completely. It serves around 3500 people on a monthly basis and an average of 40.000 people yearly.

Yedikule Patients Pavilion, Kindergarden, Mosque, Lodging for the Imam, Lodging for the Nurses

All of these facilities were built within the Istanbul Yedikule Thorax Hospital during the years of 1983-1985. The Pavilion has a capacity of 121 beds and 3 units. It serves an average of 200 people monthly. The Kindergarden is suitable for children between the ages of 0-12. The Mosque has a capacity of 75 people.The Lodging for the Nurses has 20 beds.

The Foundation carried out services and various construction activities starting in 1955 in Turkey. Since 2000, the Foundation has renovated various facilities which were constructed earlier, such as Merdivenkoy Semiha Sakir Retirement Home, Merdivenkoy Semiha Sakir Nursing Home and Yedikule Semiha Sakir Maternity Hospital.

Zeytinburnu Mother-Child Health Center

The Center which was built in 1996 is located in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul. It serves an average of 20.000 patients yearly, around 1000 children are vaccinated every month and 300 babies are registered to the Center. At least 50 patients, mostly children, are examined daily.

Kartal Maternity Hospital including a Clinic for Children

The Hospital was constructed in 1992 and donated to the Kartal Education and Research Hospital in Kartal, Istanbul. The Gynecology and Maternity Clinic, with a 46-bed capacity, is the most intensive menopause and cancer clinic of the Anatolian side of Istanbul. An average of 3000 birth operations yearly and 3-4 cancer operations weekly are performed. At the same time, 50-80 patients are examined daily. The Clinic for Children has 60 beds and 2 units which are Newborn and Oncology. At least 150 children are examined daily. Also, 150-200 emergency cases are faced everyday. The average admission yearly is around 2000-2500 patients

Yedikule Suleymaniye Obstetrics and Gynecological Disease Education and Research
Semiha Sakir Maternity Hospital

In 1990, the Matern,ty Hospital was built in Yedikule, Istanbul. By 2003, a PROTOCOL was signed between the SSF and the Governor’s Office of Istanbul, according to which the Hospital was restored and refurnished. The Hospital has many units; Clinic for Children composed of an Intensive Care for the newborn and Perinatology, Gynecology and IVF. The patients rooms are either for 1 or 2 persons the most including a bathroom in each. It has a 70-bed capacity totally of which 31 of them are in children’s service.
